VOLTESS
Alexandra Tesla was orphaned at the age of 6, after a mysterious accident at the gunpowder factory where her parents worked. Due to Alex's short fuse and explosive temper, she had difficulty dealing with the shock. Through counseling, however, she learned many techniques for dealing with her anger, including walking in the park. One dark afternoon she returned from classes at the local technical college, boiling with anger. Alex was not angry with one person, but rather with the injustices in the world. As she ran through the park, scenes flashed through her mind; scenes of war and oppression, crime and hatred. As her feet pounded against the pavement, thunder began to rumble, but she could not hear it. She could think of nothing but the things she hated. The cool rain on her skin helped to calm her though, and to clear her mind- but still she wanted nothing more than a way to stop all these things. As she ran up a hill, she suddenly became aware of the world around her, the wind, the rain, and the thunder- but it was too late. She suddenly heard a loud crack and felt herself thrown to the ground- she'd been struck by lightning. She shut her eyes, expecting death to come to her, but it did not- she still lived. Opening her eyes, she received another shock- the ground around her bore signs of an explosion, emanating from where she lay. Blue lights flashed before her eyes. Alexandra Tesla realized that she was supercharged.In the upcoming months, Alexandra focused all her efforts on learning to control her explosive ability. Using her training from her classes, she was able to construct a suit containing multiple electrical cells that would contain the energy when she did not need it. Through exercises in mental focus, she was able to control what she blew up and when. Alexandra came to realize that this was the answer she wanted so badly- this was the way she could fight against injustice. She took on her new identity- Voltess- and dedicated her life to fighting the endless battle against the evil that surrounds us.

Execution - 8.5/10
This is one of the more complex skins I have seen, you hat layer justifies your character, the colors go well together and is gennerally put together nicely, being nit picky, I would like to see some sort of large area shading, even an ambient occulsion map would do. Though the idea part of the scoring is let down a bit, I found it somewhat unoriginal, there are quiet a few super heros/villians that have the power of lightning, 'Lightning Lass' or 'Doctor Doom' for example, your idea is nice, and if there were a biography to backup that it was 'different' from others, this would up the score by a few points. I wouldn't be surprised if this were to make it into the top 100.

Also, I uploaded a second version of this skin that has slightly better shading than this one, so that bit of your critique kind of reaffirmed what I already thought needed to be worked on.
