How long before we stop being human? In 2017 we see plastic surgeries and bionic limbs to aid the disabled, but almost 60 years later (I think? I cant remember :P) we see a race of half robotic 'people'.
As she paced the square, struggling to breath in the thick smog of carbon dioxide that her mask barely softened the blow of, metal men and women with tin hearts rhythmically beating stared at her in disgust, "fix yourself" she heard one of them whisper. They noticed the red blotches painted on her skin from the lack of oxygen. She continues, although now more self aware, still fond of her choice to remain completely human.
