You're seeing Yet Another Variance Pack trying to eliminate repeating block patterns on textures that are supposed to be more random and natural, making things hopefully a lot more seamless.
A lot of other block variance packs just copy and paste the vanilla texture then add very small modifications. For this pack though, I try to make new block textures from scratch using the same techniques the vanilla texture employs while still making it indistinguishable from the original (up to a point-sometimes you do need a little spice).

A lot of other block variance packs just copy and paste the vanilla texture then add very small modifications. For this pack though, I try to make new block textures from scratch using the same techniques the vanilla texture employs while still making it indistinguishable from the original (up to a point-sometimes you do need a little spice).
- This pack is still very much a Work In Progress, meaning that some textures (I'm looking at you, double tallgrass!) are subject to change and more will of course be added.
- You can choose to use the "Bedrock Tweaks compatibility" subpack, which contains versions of existing textures based on some hand-selected Vanilla Tweaks/Bedrock Tweaks (please check these guys out, they recently made a return in development! Addons coming soon™) packs, most notably Double Slab Fix and Pebble-less Dirt.
- Some blocks's textures have been made randomly rotated (AKA made isotropic) to bring in even more variation.
- Some blocks also have flipped variations of their normal textures to replicate Java's ability to flip textures.
- You might have noticed that a few blocks, even without their variants added, also have their random rotations enabled. This is for preparation for their inclusion in the future.
- Compatibility with cached packs in some servers (e.g. CubeCraft) or old maps when this pack is used in Global Resources might be limited since they still use pre-Flattening pointers available through backwards compatibility. This problem should be less prevalent over time, but I'm still putting a warning here just in case.
