Welcome all. My name is BitBox and this is my Absolute Realism Pack. This pack takes the squareness of Minecraft, and warps it into something beautiful.

Please note that this is not complete; am am interested in what you think of it, so if you have any comments on it or any suggestions, they are greatly appreciated.

About the pack

Absolute Realism is a texture pack for Minecraft that is 128 pixels by 128 pixels, giving your Minecraft a High-Quality and Realistic feel.

How to use

I firstly want to so that with Minecraft loading 16 times more the amount of pixels, it will be slower than the default texture pack. I recommend using optifine to increase your FPS.

How to install to Minecraft

1. Download the texture pack, using the link above.
2. (Optional) Download optifine from here :http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-162-optifine-hd-c4-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-much-more/
3. Install Forge, and extract your optifine zip file to your Mods folder, inside your Minecraft folder.
4. Put this resource pack, into the Resource Folder in your Minecraft folder.
5. Open Mineraft and select Absolute Realism from the 'Resource Packs' menu.
6. Play and Enjoy!

To Do:

  • Finish off all the block textures
  • Create a pack.png file
  • Create water
  • Make the mobs more scary. Muhahaha!
  • Create tools, items, armour and weapons
  • Create the Sun, Moon, Sky and Clouds

I would suggest making the sand smoother. It looks really blocky and you can tell where the edge of the blocks are. I also found it doesn't connect with the other sand blocks (pixel wise) very well. Other than that it looks great. I for one like the grass. It reminds me of Minetest.
