There's a mod called Entity Sound Features (ESF) that allows custom sounds to be played based on OptiFine-style customizations like Rosmontis in this pack.

This could be a way to have the custom sounds without overriding the vanilla cat sounds for non-named cats.

history
I'm not sure if this is a limitation of Fabric/Quilt mods implementing Optifine's features or a bug with the pack, but normal cats' faces get flattened when the pack is enabled. All other models work fine.
