When I hear the word totem I think about Native American totems, which were traditionally made of wood and that I usually expect to be as such. This is somewhat similar to my other totem mod but I tried to add shades, depth, and other tweaks to make it fit in more to the aesthetic of Minecraft without looking like a cartoon. I don't think it is perfect, but this mod will allow you to have a more immersive wooden totem so you don't die.

If you just want to change totems, the easiest way would be to make a 16x16 png image and then make it into a resourcepack. It's different depending on if you want it to be in bedrock or java, but guides exist online for both.
