What is Cats' Realism?
Cats' Realism is a 1024x1024 resource pack for Minecraft 1.16.4 actively developed by Creepycats, produced for use with shaders such as BSL and Continuum. It uses premium quality seamless textures that make your game look almost as if it were a real life simulator. Details are edged in every pixel you see, and with shaders, you can turn those textures into 3D bump maps and reflective beauties. You can download a sneak peak pack in 256x256, or subscribe to my patreon for $1 a month to get the full size 1024x1024 packs.

I recommend you use BSL or Continuum to allow the normal and specular maps to work. You may need to change settings, namely Parallax Mapping.

Yes. If you want exact details, please send me your graphics card and processor and I can estimate your FPS. Please note that the mod now depends on BSL and Continuum shaders, so if your PC is too slow and can't run those, please do not risk the fire hazard.

I recently tried sildurs shaders. When I put pack on my computer started running 20 FPS. Can I run this one? Maybe it will perform even worse.

The resource pack is really heavy on performance because it has 3D mapping for Normals, Displacement, Specularity, and Height maps. Considering you want this to run on a macbook air, I really don't think youll be able to get shaders working let alone the pack at consistent good fps

I like the pack as is for a start but have you tried experimenting without shaders. think about the color schemes of each block and how you could incorporate that into your pack. by itself with out shaders in doen't look good but with shaders some of the texture do. But I would say although you have included photorelistic texture, again by itself (without shaders) it just doen't look good enough to what I would call a realistic pack right now but maybe later when the blending improves. The shaders are just an illusion for the textures right now. put some more work into the grass block and other terrain blocks and it might look better as a whole in the pack. I do like the podzel and grass block but try to include some sort of blending between the podzel and the dirt. you can achieve this with blending in roots in the soil or something equivalent to that.

Try darkening the logs a little and stone stone is perfect texture the top log texture looks like it was copy and pasted with the wood center. again try blending textures more with some highlights and shadows but only what is need and at a certain amount. Look at other packs and get an idea of how you want your pack to look. just don't make it realistic make it cartoonist, RPG, or even take some pictures for yourself and blend some of those into you texture within the pack.

THANK YOU. ALL I EVER WANTED WAS AN HONEST FRICKING OPINION. Btw yes I couldn't get any sample textures from log ends and I literally just didnt really give a frick at the time so I left it as a shitty cutout. As for blending issues, I recently have bought photoshop to get some of the better tools and plugins and I've been trying a handful of them to try and blend everything together. Also, the reason I didn't use really any texture packs to base it on is because I wanted it to be original, and the whole point I made it was just to test normal and specular maps. My friends told me to publish it. Finally, Ill just mention that I agree that the grass needs a little work. I think its a tad too darkened and the bump map needs some antierase. Not to mention that it was the only texture that i could make that was seamless. And if you want to know why the side of grass blocks isnt bump mapped, They were oroginally, but the edges would bug out and loop the texture around making it all buggy. But I will try focusing on nonshader work for now as well. Thank you for actually taking time to write feedback. Ive been asking but nobody has given me any so far
