This pack replaces some item models to make them look like chess pieces. It updates the language file to give the items appropriate names, too. I originally made this pack so that me and my brother could play chess in Minecraft, but I liked it so I figured why not share it, right?

IMPORTANT NOTE: This texture pack also makes item frames invisible so that you can place the chess pieces in them and keep things looking clean. I found this to be the best way to do it since it also allows you to rotate the pieces in the item frames to face any direction.


List of item models replaced:
  • Prismarine Shard (White King)
  • Prismarine Crystals (White Queen)
  • Gold Nugget (White Bishop)
  • Rabbit Hide (White Knight)
  • Flint (White Rook)
  • Feather (White Pawn)
  • Brick (Black King)
  • Nether Brick (Black Queen)
  • Iron Nugget (Black Bishop)
  • Leather (Black Knight)
  • Nautilus Shell (Black Rook)
  • Paper (Black Pawn)
  • Item Frame (Nothing)
Of course you can change these around if you want by renaming the .json files in assets\minecraft\models\item.
