Leaving a Diamond a Heart, or a Comment would be greatly appreciated!
Description:
I'm sad that they aren't more custom font textures in Minecraft. I believe part of the problem is that fonts are seen as irrelevant and too hard to be worth the effort of making. I have edited the ascii.png image to make it easier to recognize the "bounding box" of the characters. (the area for each character without overlapping onto other characters or messing up letter spacing)
How to Use:
Open up the texture pack to Font Format/assets/minecraft/textures/font
Here you will see a few options, from the default to HD images. This allows you to dictate the quality of your font.
One good strategy is to use the smallest option first to get a rough layout of your font and then upscale it after to fill in the details.
The font texture used will be "ascii.png" and all other copies can be deleted.
Once you are done making your textures make sure to get rid of the colors, leaving only the white and transparent background.
