The toro nagashi, literally translating to “lantern” and “cruise/float”, respectively, represents the Japanese concepts of floating paper lanterns down a river. Traditionally, this idea of floating paper lanterns symbolized the guiding of souls, those who have left the physical word and now exist spiritually.

Jack-o-lanterns retextured as toro nagashi featuring I.O.I, IZ*ONE, and AKB48 Team 8 members. Pumpkins and carved pumpkins remain as is, only when they're crafted as jack-o-lanterns will the changes apply. A total of 56 different variations on the face art depicting members of the popular K-pop and J-pop girl groups I.O.I, IZ*ONE, and AKB48 Team 8.
