This model works for Minecraft version: 1.9 - 1.10 - 1.11 - 1.12 - 1.13 - 1.14 - 1.15 - 1.16
Hi! This is a 3D katana model that I made, feel free to use it as you want, as long as you give me appropriate credit.
The katana model is saved as a diamond sword.
Made with cubik.
I downloaded the texture pack and it doesn't work/I can't find it: Extract the .zip file that you just downloaded and open the folder, in there you will find the texturepack.zip file and the folder with the json files. Put the texturepack.zip file in your texture pack folder.
Note: This is an outdated model that i created, you can download the updated model here:

also i found out why this isn't compatible with 1.8
And you said that you found out why this isn't compatible with 1.8?
if you just want to use it then do this:
Click on the DOWNLOAD TEXTUREPACK button, and extract it or open it, and click on the file inside of it. After this you will see 2 files, the JSON files, and the Katana Texture Pack.zip. Click on the katana texture pack.zip file(don't open it) and place it somewhere, for example your downloads folder. After this you want to open minecraft, and then go to options, resourcepack, and click on "Open resourcepack folder" and drag the Katana Texturepack.zip file into that folder, then close the resourcepack folder and click on done to refresh the texturepack list and it should be in there.
if you want to mix it with another texturepack you could do 2 things:
1: Put the texturepack on top of the texturepacks that you are using to give it top priority.
Or this 2: Open the texturepack you want to paste it in. then click on assets, minecraft and make a folder called models, if there already is one, then just use that one. After this you want to make another folder inside of the models folder called "item" if there already is one, then just use that one. After this you want to go to the JSON files folder and get the katana.json file and rename it to whatever you want for example "diamond_sword" and after that you want to paste the .json that you just renamed into the item folder. After that you want to go back to the minecraft folder and instead of clicking on models you want to click on minecraft, textures, blocks and paste all the .png files that you can also find in the JSON files folder in there. and then just do load it into minecraft.
