Lazy Striders

Baby striders riding adults used to stay warm as long as the parent is in lava.
But this was changed in 1.19.4, and now striders riding other striders are always cold.
And apparently, this was an intentional change (see MC-189383 and MC-260630). Isn't that sad?

Introducing: Lazy Striders!

Because it hurts me to see baby striders all sickly and purple, I made this small pack that makes all cold striders only slightly less red, and have closed eyes to give them a lazy look. This way, baby striders riding parents have a cuter, sleepy appearance instead of looking like they're minutes away from death's door!


Additionally, Lazy Striders - Illuminated is an alternate version of the pack that also retextures warm striders, makingthem look like they're illuminated by the lava below them. (This was inspired by how lit candles have unique textures)
