Midnight
is an interface retexture aiming for a dim, eye-friendly appearance that doesn't diminish the game's original aesthetic. Originally made few years back for my personal use, now rebooted.
No mods required.
Versions
Direct download link from PlanetMinecraft contains the latest version which requires extracting before moving to resourcepacks folder.
For older game releases, use the CurseForge link and pick a matching version from the list. Those do not have to be unzipped.
Installation
- Download a matching version.
- If downloaded using PlanetMinecraft link, extract the file, else skip.
- Paste the pack inside resourcepacks folder:
(C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resourcepacks)

This update has been sitting there for a few months, but I've finally wrapped it up for uploading. It's just a few tweaks here and there.
Here are the changes that I could remember:
- Containers now have a dark border
- Highlight color is a bit lighter
- Some shenanigans in advancement screen
- Darker xp bar and a shadow outline for hotbar item slots
- Updated the container strings that hide the labels (Except the new chest boat types since those use item name strings directly if I'm not mistaken)
- Probably some other pixel changes
- And a new experimental menu background

Unless you're talking about the middle out of the three slots 'missing' and the cycling icons inside it. In that case, it is how it's supposed to be, since the middle slot begins its animation once you put a template on the left by default. I've made that slot dark with lighter indicators for it to remain consistent with the player's inventory.
Best bet would be to try it offline on the client side first. If it works there but not on the server, it's most likely due to the configuration or the world file itself.
I'll try to upload a separate version or a patch for older releases sometime soon. Thank you so much for the feedback!
