Minecraft Enhanced is a 256 texture set that is designed to keep the original look and feel and theme of Default minecraft.

Make sure you patch with latest MCPatcher http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/232701-12w22a-125update-62-mcpatcher-hd-fix-237/ or you will have issues.

Asked this in the forum thread already, but could you make an alternatives folder which has the old textures (like cobblestone and mossy cobblestone, cobblestone stairs and perhaps sandstone as well)? I personally liked those more than the new ones.
