During the development of Minecraft Version 1.3, the idea of a currency in game that could be used to trade was being considered. It would be used in villages to bargain for items you may need on your survival adventure. You may now know that this is called the emerald. However, you may not have known that originally Mojang was considering making it the ruby. Critics said that the ruby was too close to redstone because of its color, hence why it was scrapped for the emerald. I thought it would be cool to bring back the Ruby, so I have made a pack that does just that. This pack replaces the emerald and all emerald-related items and blocks with rubies.

I have made this pack available for every version of minecraft from 1.7 to the newest 1.16 update. This pack for the most part is not compatible with other packs that differ from the default textures. The ruby item may adapt to a pack if that pack has a ruby texture in it however most do not. As for the ruby block and ore, they are not compatible at all with other packs.

Replaced emerald blocks in beacon GUI with Ruby blocks

Replaced emerald profession for villagers with Ruby
Added more Jappa styled Ruby texture for 1.14+

Thanks for this wonderful texture, Emeralds are getting saturated... and Ruby looks better.

the 1.14+ version could use an updated ruby texture. also bonus points for adding both 1.14+ textures and dev art

I've realized that there are some textures missing like the beacon GUI and the Hero of The Village effect. I will be updating this soon.
