Sorry for the late reply, I completely forgot that this website existed, if not for Apigman messaging me today I still would be oblivious. And I'm not sure if I'll make the datapack because honestly I forgot how to make them, especially now that minecraft changed quite a bit. So yeah, apologies.

It's possible to make CTM (connected textures) if you place bricks and nether bricks side by side it will look like this for example. Do you still need it?
