I'm glad Mojang finally changed the ores, the old style was getting boring. I will miss the old ones but DAMN! The new ones look GOOD!

I agree. Apparently in the next snapshot iron and gold ore are getting another retexture, which is neat.

I always thought that all ores looking the same is kind of boring. I personally like this change in texture a lot. :)
