Y'all remember when the dispenser was... ANGRY? Certainly not me, the texture changed in release 1.2.1 and I started playing around versions 1.2 and 1.3. HOWEVER, I made these texture packs (or resource packs whatever) that re-adds the classic look from the dispenser.

Two versions:
