I created the Statue of Undying - the 3D version of the Totem of Undying, but to a lifesize scale. And it has emissive eyes!
Rename a totem of undying to 3d and place it in an item frame.
If you would like to be able to use a gold block or some other item, open the folder of the resource pack, navigate to assets>minecraft>optifine>cit and you will find 2 files. One is a json file and the other is a properties file. Open the properties file with a text edit program so you see this code:
You will want to change "totem_of_undying" to whatever block or item name you'd like. Make sure to replace spaces with underscores. Such as "gold_block" or "emerald" so it looks like this:
I highly recommend you also get a datapack that lets you make item frames invisible to get the proper effect. The one I use is from https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/datapacks/. It'll be the first one on the top left once you open the first tab. It's called Armor Statues.
To use it, install the datapack into the "datapacks" folder located inside your chosen world's file. Do not unzip the zip file. Once you're in game, stand close to the item frame and look at it. Type /trigger if_invisible and hit enter. In about a second, the item frame will disappear. You can still rotate the item, break the item out of the frame, and remove the frame. Removing the item will temporarily make the item frame reappear. Placing another item in it will make it disappear again.
This pack requires Optifine.
My packs will come compressed in a zip file for an easier download (compressed files take less space) and better overall organization.
One common mistake Minecraft players do is trying to install the resource packs without extracting the files first, so the game cannot read what’s inside the zip file, therefore the pack doesn’t show up in the list of available resource packs.

Ensure the file is unzipped if you don't see it on your list
