Crossbows seem to be a lot more stronger than the bow, so it makes sense if a powerful PG3D pistol being implemented into Minecraft as a resource pack as a Crossbow instead of a bow.
plus, the reload animation (if i remember correctly) requires the player model to replace the current core of the Exterminator with a new one once it runs out of ammo, and the Crossbow loading animation would fit perfectly.
