I've personally never minded the vanilla textures of minecraft, but at times I did find they were a bit to pixely, with to much of an unnecessary color difference between two pixels. I wanted it a bit smoother on a higher resolution while still keeping the feel of the original minecraft.
With this texture pack I've tried to do just that on the environment. Everything from dirt to stone to trees and flowers has been redrawn. As I rather enjoyed making this, I will in the future update this with animals, paintings, and armor.
To use this texture pack, download the .zip file in the mirror link (unfortunately I had problems trying to upload it to planetminecraft so until I have that sorted, it will have to go through the mirror) and put it here:
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resourcepacks
Do NOT extract the zip file.
