this works with entity model features and entity texture features if you don't use optifine,so there's that

Would you consider remodeling the regular minecart to look like the cabin section of the train engine? where when the player sits in the minecart, it looks like they are inside the cabin of the train? kind of like sitting inside a box?

Would this by any chance still render the train properly even if Optifine were not installed? I have a problem that keeps me from using Optifine, and so I know for certain that that immediately rules out the custom decorations, but I was wondering if the train itself would render fine without it.

you can use the Entity Texture Features (ETF) and Entity Model Features (EMF) mods instead of Optifine; it does the same thing, enabling you to use most texture packs that remodel items and say they require Optifine, without actually using Optifine :D There are a bunch of other mods that replace the other features from Optifine as well that you can use :)
