It's such a tiny change, but it really does a lot. Those white pixels on the top in vanilla feel so wrong to me.

Of the redstone torch? All top textures are derived from the colors of the two pixels from the top of each vanilla texture so that they match.

actually, the exact opposite. all but the off redstone torch is too dark. if it's dark it'd be less clear that IT is illuminating the area. consistency won't work here. Maybe use the 2nd brightest color instead of the darkest one on the top?
