I genuinely forgot how default chests look, Ive been using this for a long time

(if this is posabil then pls do it) is there any way you can make so that when i craft a chest with dark oak i will get a dark oak chest and not a oak chest?

this is not possible, as the game does not distinguish between chests that are crafted differently. However, if you use optifine, here is a pack which may help. www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/more-chests-optifine-required/
