This texture pack require's MCPatcher or Optifine to utilize features such as Connected Textures, Randomobs, BetterSkys, and more.

When I first started playing Minecraft, I was impressed. Not by the art, but by the gameplay. It grew on me. Eventually I realized Minecraft's default texture pack was not for me. I looked for texture packs that interested me. Nothing fit; too happy, too dark, some were just right. But it didn't feel right. I took the liberty to start my own texture pack. At first I used a bunch of textures from other packs. But did it blend? No. I started to make my own textures with a style inspired by many. My work completely became my own. I've created a dark medieval fantasy texture pack that fits my builds but stays true to Minecraft's resolution and overall theme.

I was looking for someone to make a pack this good. I had waited and waited for a minecraft-friendly pack that didnt have oversized and over detailed textures, but just the right amount of detail. This pack is incredible and i would recommend it to everyone and anyone. The armors and swords are amazing. So far there is not a single texture I am unhappy with. This pack changes your entire minecraft experience for the better by putting a beautiful medieval twist on your minecraft world and creations!
Nice texture pack Maffhew; could you update when you get the chance though? Thanks.

1.8 version? :C
I like it, but before you release the 1.8, I'd just like to suggest changing the water, glowstone and redstone lamp and paintings textures back to what they were. The water looks dull now and while that may have been your intent, it really doesn't look that great with the rest of the textures. The paintings can't even be used to decorate houses now because of the new textures. The same goes for glowstone and lamps.

Cheers.

Please don't tell me that Chivalry is "dead." (Unupdated) I really enjoyed this pack when I played, and I just resumed Minecraft after over 2 or so years of not playing. To find this pack unupdated is so sad to me :( Please update soon! Thankyou! :D

It does seem a bit based off of Skyrim. There's the Leather Armor, which looks like Scaled/Studded armor, the Iron Armor looks a bit like Steel/Steel Plate, the Gold Armor definitely resembles Dwarven, and there are a few other in-game things that resemble Skyrim's scenery and items.

Yeah man, feel free to do so.
Dude, Idk why but I crash and its because of some texture problems, Also some of the items don't render out like the compass or the blaze rod. I have optifine so idk why its doing this!

This resourcepack is amazing!
Would you mind if I used this for an adventure map that I'm working on, and change some textures like redstone torches to a sword? I would also add some custom block models, but only change the textures/models used for the adventure map.
And I would credit you, if you allow me to use this texturepack ofcourse.

I Love this texture pack but it always crashes my Minecraft whenever i go into any multiplayer game. My computer is capable of supporting higher resolution texture packs. Do you know why this is and can you help me?
It does the same to me. I want a response to this!

This tex pack is really awesome, but I'm not a fan of how it sounds when your character gets hit... maybe it's because I'm female? lol. I guess I just prefer more neutral sounds.
Really nice tex pack either way though :) hearing all the different sounds is fun, and the pack is especially nice with the MCpatcher. Can't wait to see what future updates contain~

Excellent work, nice story in the description. That is what I feel right now, and i'm interested in creating a texture pack of my own. Maybe you could post a tutorial or give me some pointers in what to do to create one? If so please reply to this comment or just pm me. Thanks!

Sorry, but probably not. Chivalry is constantly having textures redone and it would be pretty tough to have to redo them again just to match in with seasonal/holiday themes. But I "MIGHT" make other "theme" themes. Like.. strictly orcish or japanese. Meh.

  • November 11, 2013, 8:12 pm
No! I meant in terms of it being a commonly known thing that photos taken at dusk/dawn are the most aesthetically pleasing. For instance John Smith pack xD has it's panorama set at dawn and turns a plain forest into something ridiculously good looking.
It really sticks out now from the crowd. I'd say that looks better than all those SEUS and other shader photos.

I used another technique, I made use of the linear perspective to force your eyes to follow the street (which ends on the right side of the image) and. This will hopefully get people to look at the name of the pack and increase their interest. Lol just some marketing stuff. If I could, I would use SEUS, take a picture at dawn, use linear perspective, include a body of reflective water/water feature and include the sun in the photo. With all this I beleive your pack would siphon all the views whenever you have your pack on the recently updated list.
