If you still want a proper Crossbow that replaces the regular bow model, check out my Half Life 2 Resistance Crossbow here.
A custom-made crossbow model that replaces the bow in vanilla Minecraft. It uses default textures, so it's appearance will change depending what Resource Pack you use. (Except for the arrow and centerpiece, if you want those changed, you'll have to edit them yourself.)
The arrow.png file for- well, the arrow, is in the 'blocks' folder because somewhere along the line I messed up the texture path, got lazy and went, "eh, that's fine." If you want that changed, copy/paste the arrow.png into the zip file from your preferred resource pack.
