I like the texturepack "Dandelion" a lot.
And I also like modded Minecraft a lot.

The thing is tho, Dandelion offers no support to modded Minecraft, except some.

So I went ahead and firstly only made textures for myself, mostly only GUIs at that point.
I did work quite long on many textures, as I noticed afterwards, so I thought that sharing them is a good idea because other users of Dandelion might appreciate it.
So I started posting my textures on the Dandelion Minecraft Forum.
After some time, my organization got quite unclear, as 1.9 came out and I began to update my textures but also textured more mods.
Now I'm here because I can update this pack easily and it is so much easier to handle.

Let's begin with the important part:
  • First of all, this pack is not only to be used for mods. I've got so many vanilla improvements compared to the original Dandelion pack ;o
  • The coolest features are for example fancy models, including a model for rails! And for doors! And for the AE2 drive! And for iron bars! And for..., fancy animations, tons of randomizations in vanilla or connected textures via the CTM-mod or Optifine
  • As of the anniversary update, the pack is divided in 3 branches, one per: 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12. Every Minecraft version has an assigned pack version number.
  • The first download link, directly from Planetminecraft, is 1.12, the rest is labeled!
  • It's made with much, much love yet much pain! ;P
  • The progress for this site is set to 50% due to the never ending amount of mods I can still texture. It will never increase nor decrease.
  • The main textures this pack is about are the GUIs, items are the second place, and because I am a bit miserable with blocks but also pretty tolerant with the default ones from mods, they are at the last place. Models are done whenever I feel like doing them!

Additional notes

First off, this pack is no copy of the already existing add-on pack for Dandelion by Liche, which was launched over two years ago, as of the time writing this, and never got updated since then. I will not explain the reasons why I am marked as contributor at this one etc. because this is uninteresting, really. But I worry a bit about Liche as he has not been online at all since then. (Please be fine)

Yeah, so, I got the first beta/alpha build of this resource pack for the new 1.13 snapshots up, it's nothing too special really, basically only a straightforward 1.12 -> 1.13 port, but there is this bug which breaks glass, bookshelves and magma blocks, so I went ahead and quickly fixed it!
Thing tho: Planetminecraft only has 3 slots, so I can't upload it here (yet, I want to ditch 1.10 soon anyway), so check out Curseforge!
(Only Vanilla, like you maybe have already guessed)
-- Like you may have already guessed, the 1.13 build is completely outdated due to 1.13 having evolved a lot, so this log servers no purpose anymore other than being a reminder of times --

Yeah, that definitely sounds interesting, I will try to add some special maps for various blocks in the future :D
Although I can't guarantee that it'll be in the near future, as I currently have a lot of things on my todo list! But thanks for the suggestion, have learned something new there :D

Feel free to contribute to add it yourself but for the next updates I have other plans at the moment. Maybe I manage to cram it into one of the next updates though, as I see that quark is a bit necessary!
But first, making 1.11 and 1.12 stable is the highest priority :D
Just keep in mind that it's mainly just me working on this ^^ plus, I don't really pressure myself on doing this, because I rate quality so much over quantity. Besides, I don't make money off this anyway

Hey, I was wondering if you possibly had a timeline on textures for Biomes o'Plenty? I love this texture pack so much and seeing completed BOP textures for it would really make the day for me and a friend both.

Next version will have some of the BoP textures, but I have to say that I'm in kind of a creative downphase right now, so I'm not really able to come up with texture ideas, especially if it's so many like BoP has and I am even worse when it comes to blocks or items ;/

I would like to use this pack but they texture dont load in my minecraft.
Im using the original Dandelionpack from Steelfeathers (Not Supported V1.8.1) on my minecraft 1.10.2 and I load your pack after the orignal pack.
The textures of the supported mods dont change :/

PS: Could you please feature the Actually Additons mod?

As of version 2.0, you don't have to use any pack along this one anymore, this pack is standalone now. Just use it alone! :D
Actually Additions is on my to do list, but I think I will do something else for next update, but maybe I will put ActAdd along that!

I don't run Dandelion, that's Steelfeathers. There's a forum for Dandelion btw.
You can use this pack tho, Minecraft will ignore the extra content and this pack is 1.10 :P
It seems that the BOP mod textures in the original texture pack aren't working, plus there are a few missing. Im currently working on restoring it, do you mind if I put up my contributions when I'm done?

You may, of course! I actually planned to do this a long time ago, but I want to completely remake the Biomes o' Plenty textures from whoever made them. To be honest, they are good, but they are mostly just copy-pasted textures with a different color, which is the reason why I didn't include them yet.
But I guess your contibution will do a bridge between now with no BoP textures and some-time-in-the-future with the remade ones.
To make it short: Yes, you may :P
Hello. Is there a reason you changed the original Dandelion glass panes/glass block textures? :/ I thought you said you wouldn't change Steelfeather's original textures... Now in order to use a 1.10 version of this pack I have to deal with weird seethrough glass textures instead of the original Dandelion ones... Is there a way to get the old ones back without reverting to 1.8? How do I edit it back in?

Glass is a connected texture with Optifine. The default glass is still the same if you either don't use Optifine or turn connected textures off. My idea behind that was, it's glass. Glass is made to be see-through, just like glass in real life. If there's such a thing in the middle of it now like in Dandelion, it kinda destroys the point of glass for me, or how do you see it?
I am sorry, but I can't revert it as connected glass textures are really better for me and many others, but in order to change it for yourself, just go to "assets -> minecraft -> mcpatcher -> ctm -> connected" and delete the folder "glass"
Unfortunately you have to do that after every new release, I'm sorry :/

I have so much stuff on my to do list, but I agree that rails have the highest prority because of my rail model which doesn't look good with the default textures.
Thanks for the suggestion, the next update will have textured rails :)
Do have the Gui from it for PvP ? You know the Lookthroughable ?

Well, I've already textured the vanilla GUIs for 1.9+.

You just have to read (seriously, sorry for that ton of text I trash at everyone with that site <3)

I don't think there's any more need of GUIs to be textured except the inventory and creative inventory, well, okay, the brewing stand, but I don't want to like unofficially maintain Dandelion instead of Steelfeathers.

I have some questions and clarifications: I will of course only use the mods of you which are 1.10, I won't use textures which overwrite already existing Dandelion textures (except animated slimeball), I deleted files which were copied from the mod and not textured and I improved the GUI of MCA, is that okay? :D
Also, where can I find the "Daventuremod"?

I am pretty sure he will *one time* come back tho as he posted textures for some 1.9 blocks some ages ago ^^
