Stickland is a cartoon-ish pack with textures made of every imaginable combination of its five shades of gray! With so may shades available, this pack goes way beyond the monochrome limitations of black and white to offer a wildly diverse array of block texture designs.

Stickland is still in flux. It has all GUI textures and 89% of block textures, but does not yet include items and mobs. More to come in future releases. Everything is subject to change at this point, so let me know what works and what doesn't so your favorite part doesn't get removed!

This pack includes it's own font to match the hand-drawn style. The font is now enlarged to make it more legible, but I'm still looking for any constructive criticism I can get, so please don't hold back!

Stickland includes number of custom models to eliminate the automatic green tinting that minecraft does to some plants in certain biomes. Thanks to Craftykids for explaining how to fix this!

So get to it: download it, try it out, make it a favorite, and give it a diamond. You won't be sorry! (or will you? you decide.)

Yes, this font pack is still being updated. However, things have been hectic for me the past few months so no significant progress yet on making a 1.13 version. (Font? Why did I say font?)

It would really help me out if I could get some feedback on the new Stickland font.

Does it match the theme of the pack?

Is it too hard to read?

Should it be bigger?

Also, does anyone know if there's a way I can keep the sky from being blue and the sunset from being red?

Thanks!

If you are asking how to upload your own resource pack:
  1. Click the Account link next to your name in the upper-right corner of the web page.
  2. Click "Textures" in the middle of the screen or "Texture Packs" on the left side of the screen.
  3. Click the "Upload New Texture Pack" button near the top of the screen.

For a simple grayscale pack, this is actually really good! I've only got a couple suggestions:
  • I think that cacti would look a lot better if they had only one pixel of transparency on the edges, instead of the three that you've got currently (which let you see through cactus blocks).
  • The pack isn't quite as colorless as it could be; by including block models in the pack, you could stop blocks like lily pads from being automatically colored. (I dunno how much you know about models, though, or how much info you'd be able to find...if you're interested but can't figure it out some other way, I could probably help a bit!)

That is great feedback. To solve the cactus problem, I've created a custom model for the next release to fit the smaller texture.

The lily pads are more problematic since their color doesn't come from the color maps and they have an odd shape that could be difficult to model. I could certainly use your help with that if you're offering!

Yeah, making your own model probably isn't the best way to do it. A better way would be to edit the default models. The JSON for automatically-colored models includes "tintindex" properties, which can be removed in order to stop the texture from being colored.

For example, here's /assets/minecraft/models/block/waterlily.json from the default pack: http://pastebin.com/0eGdLeWi

Each of the two longest lines has a "tintindex" property with a value of 0. If you put that file in your pack and entirely remove the "tintindex" properties, like this: http://pastebin.com/eWWbUGAZ

...lily pads will be grayscale in-game. The same can be done with other automatically-colored blocks, like birch and spruce leaves.
