Everything on this website is fresh to me.

Not new, but fresh.

Not different. Just fresh.

Like a breath of fresh air after a day at home in isolation, or the feeling of a summer breeze upon stepping outside. It's commonplace, but it's fresh. And refreshing. Casual, but never taken for granted. Like I can swirl around it for ages and never get tired of the feeling I extract from it.

Logging on after so many months of being idle was hard. I had subscribers, I had friends. I had a writing group, and I was thriving. But then things got less and less fun, and I took a break. A long break.
Although it wasn't necessary, I'm glad I did it. Because this is nice.
This feeling of fresh.
Also nostalgia. Looking back at my old posts and skins, and smiling at how amateurish I was. Knowing how much I've improved, how much more wonderful I am now. How happy I am, now that I've changed. But how I wish I could find some nonsensical portal and stick my hand through it - and reach toward my past self, and take her by the hand. And say hey. You're doing great.
Because I was great. I was so, so great, traveling with this beautiful community towards a future I'd never heard of. Towards a path that brought the greatest of experience, and all the while, I was fearless. Absolutely damn fearless.
I find it even more fearless of an action to throw it all away.
For six months.
Perhaps more.
But that's not the point.
