You know that every time you want to host a server, You will have to pay money. There is one, free way.


1 Go and download and install YAMS(www.yams.in)(Yet Another Minecraft Server)


2. Click Startup/allprograms/YAMS/Yams CONSOLE


3. It will now ask you for permission to use the file. Click YES. If it says you need a computer admins permission, Contact the Admin and let them allow the file to you


4. This will now open the file to the YAMS Console


5. If the server is stopped, click start


6. Now on the right corner, it will say Port Forwarding


7. You have to make sure it portforwarded the server and the console


8. If it has not did this at all, restart the server and see if it does port forward
If this still doesnt work, restart your computer, Open YAMS again, and see if it portforwarded.


9. If any of that in step 8 did not work, then you must access your router, and allow minecraft to portforward, Which means allow port 25565 to be portforwarded (25565 is the default port of minecraft, which you can change, but it is not recommended to)


10. Now click launch console. This will open up the menu of the server, Now it will take you to this website called YAMS Admin. Username is always Admin. The password is of your choice, which is what you said while you were installing YAMS


11. Now it will open up the console for the server, and you will see that minecraft has started a pre-vanilla server for you.


12. Now, if you do not want a Vanilla minecraft server, You click in settings, and change it to bukkit. Bukkit is a modded minecraft server in which you can enable mods in the server without using modloader, audiomod, and even forge.


13. If it says you need Bukkit, Download Bukkit at www.bukkit.org


14. Stop the server, and now click startup/computer/Local Disk C:(or whatever you installed it to)/programfilesx86/YAMS/Lib/placethebukkitfolderhere and rename it to craftbukkit.jar


15. Start the server, and see if it loads the bukkit server
16. If it does not work, try again


17. Now that you have a working and nice server, You would want people to connect to it.
18. Clickwww.whatsmyip.org to go to the website to see your IP.


19. Now, test the IP and see it if directs to your server, and not anyone elses server
(Take note that you may only have one server per IP with this program, so do not try making another server, or it will have a conflict with your server)


20. If it does work, this means that it has been portforwarded, and you are ready to let people join, if you wish. But first you want to get some plugins by clickingwww.plugins.bukkit.org so no one will grief, and steal your minecraft account.


21. To install the plugins: Startup/Computer/LocalDiskC/programsx86/YAMS/Servers/1/plugins


22. Well Done! You can now host your very own Minecraft server, and become a successful Minecraft Player! Congratulations!
