Hi,
this is the SS Tsar Simeon Veliki, named after Simeon I of Bulgaria, who ruled through the years 893-927 during the times of the 1st Bulgarian Empire. During his reign Bulgaria became the largest and the strongest country in Europe, which was also combined with a massive cultural leap ahead.
The history of the ship is far from good. While she introduced certain new features such as normal instead of derrick cranes and improved luxury over the lead-ship of the class, Bulgarian Warrior, she was built hastily during WWI which left her plagued with flaws so she became the shortest-serving ship out of all three, for only 6 years (1925-1931). After leaving service she was decommissioned, she was stored for 40 years and was scrapped around 1971 in order to build other ships out of its steel.
