The 4 corner colors represent the 4 colors of the human races united as a whole, while the center orange is the mix of all the corner colors. So it's a way to represent a single united humanity living in harmony.

Also it represents a map from more than 500 years ago on the North pole, where they depicted a continent there with 4 big islands around a black rock in the middle called Rupes Nigra, which might have been the mythical Mount Meru, who knows. So it also serves as a representation of that ancient lost contient :-)
