Bravo, you finally got a server.
But not many people visit it, right? Then this blog is what you need.

I, Carly, shall be telling you step by step what you need for a successful, happy server. So you'll soon get the fame you desire!

â ¶Spawnâ ¶

All servers need a beautiful spawn. It needs to look fantastic in alltexture packs. So, to do this, you need to make it with simple blocks, but make is very detailed. Whatever you do for the spawn, Do not use ores. They eyesore the players and make them leave your server, because when they respawn, they'll see the eyesore spawn. And it doesn't help if someone fromPlanetMinecraft sees that mess!

â ¶ Behaviour â ¶

Players behaviour on your server needs to be good. You need to make sure that griefers, spammers, and trolls get banned. Unless, the trolls have permsission from you to troll for a youtube video. You also need to make sure that not many fights occur on your server, or your server will just turn into a dark cloud.And dark clouds do not amuse players. Staff need to be responsible, kind, and helpful. So make sure you choose the right people to be staff, or op.

â ¶Serverâ ¶


Obviously, the server needs to be clean and tidy. Make sure that all previous griefs are rllbacked, or atleast cleaned up. When trolls are done with their videos, insure that they clean up the mess and award the player once they have trolled them. Do the same with the nether, players think that if they grief houses in the nether the staff or owner shall never know. Frequently check all worlds atleast once a week to see if any houses, buildings, or anything else is not griefed.Or trolled.

â ¶Plugins and perms â ¶


You need sensible plugins. Plugins like Bukkit that enable nicknames. You'll mostly need World edit, Bukkit, nicknames, rollback, not grief tools. For example, antioch, this lets players type in ''/antioch'' and it sends out TNT, and it might not be in the logs. World edit and nicknames are good for Donators and staff, but do not allow some things to normal players, because this shall encourage them to donate to get more perms.

â ¶Votes and donationâ ¶

You'll need a donation service for your server, because donators obviously need something to donate with! I dont know any but im sure if you search google you'll find some. You'll also need to post your server on a popular server website where layers can vote for your server and it'll get more popular, so more players will join.
