This video (Click "Play" above to start) shows how to build a "set and forget" style Mushroom Farm, meaning you build it, and then you never have to manage it in any way besides occasionally collecting your mushrooms from a chest!

It is also a "cell style" farm, so it can be stacked next to, below, and on top of more copies of itself, until you're producing as many Mushrooms as you want to be.

This is my original design, and it doesn't use Hopper Minecarts like most other Automatic Mushroom Farm designs, or rely on water pushing the Mushrooms to a collection point (which doesn't always work).

It uses a lot of Hoppers so it's best built on Creative, but it is absolutely possible to build it in Survival.
