Although many of you might find daylight sensors utterly useless, they are a work of genius if you are making an adventure map you can set it so its always nighttime, or if your doing a zombie apocalypse then you can set it so the doors only open at the daytime. If you want to find out how to do both of those thingies then skip to the bottom of this page. Daylight sensors can also be used to create lamps that only turn on at nighttime and defences that arm at nighttime in order to keep the zombies away. On servers you can create messages with command blocks that announce when night turns, Ie 'The Night Is Coming' or something similar. Hope you enjoyed today's blog!
Commands:
Place a daylight sensor on the ground and use redstone wire to connect it to a command block, in the command block type in time set night, and whenever it turns to daytime, it will go back to nighttime.
With the doors just have a daylight sensor connecting to an iron door and when it turns to daytime to redstone will be activated and will open the door. All very simple.
