Hi so i do music and i figured i should make a blog for all the stuff I'm releasing this year
anywho to start off we have my new ep HYPERPHOBIA, which I've been working on since around June 2023
HYPERPHOBIA is a continuation of the two Phobia singles I released last year. I was originally gonna include them on this release but I felt like I had outgrown that sound and thought there was too big of an overall quality difference between Phobia and HYPERPHOBIA.
I also encourage everyone to listen to Gesaffelstein's Novo Sonic System EP since it was a huge inspiration for this project.
The visuals for this project, like the announcement trailer and cover artwork, were inspired by spooky analog horror stuff like Local58, Gemini Home Entertainment, and The Monument Mythos.

TRACK 01 - DYSTOPIA
This opening track was technically the first one I started. Initially I was gonna make it the final track, and giving it a much more orchestral vibe.
It was also like 7 minutes long lmao.
I still have the orchestral edit on my laptop so maybe I'll use it later on.
TRACK 02 - RUSH
RUSH was the lead single for HYPERPHOBIA and also probably the track I spent the most time on.
The EP mostly revolves around RUSH, since I was working on this one throughout the entire 6-8 months making this project.
The cover art for this one is just a picture of my hand with some wacky photoshop stuff slapped on.

TRACK 03 - SEE THE LIGHTS
SEE THE LIGHTS kind of acts as a sibling track to RUSH, since they were both started in the same project file.
I was originally gonna make RUSH slow down a bunch towards the end into this track but ultimately decided to separate them more.
This was the last track I finished, with about 140 hours spent between this and RUSH

TRACK 04 - CORRODED
CORRODED might sound familiar to the people who tuned into one of my streams a few months back.
I produced most of this track during that weekend, and it was originally meant to be a demo track for a presentation I was doing on music for school.
This one uses a lot of drum samples I engineered myself so thats pretty neat.

TRACK 05 - FINAL SUMMER
FINAL SUMMER is the last track on this release. I took the initial chord progression from DYSTOPIA and pitched it up a bit, on top of adding some more drums from CORRODED for funsies. I kind of wanted to return to my less aggressive sound from Utopia EP and Middle of Nowhere. I worked on this shortly after finishing CORRODED, and it's the last track I started for this project.
HYPERPHOBIA is as of now my favorite project that I've worked on. I've learned a ton about sound design and wanted to include as much of my own unique sounds as possible for these songs. The EP is less than 20 minutes long but I do have a bunch more music releasing this year.
