DON'T TRY AND DO IT ALL YOURSELF
not all blogs have to be completely original. see a nice blog about iron golems? write a blog about iron golems. don't take all the details that it has, but mix the themes of others maybe, or add a unique little twist. if you do steal a blog word by word then chances are you will not be impressing the mods : so.... just don't try and do it all yourself.

Ok i should really stop or i will permanently be EVERY 9 YEAR OLD ON FACEBOOK. be down with the hip and youth. no your grammardoesn'thave to beimpeccable(mine is, just by default, but that's me i guess). just be unique. stand out from the crowd. maybe even shoutHIPPOPOTAMUS in the middle of asentence because why not? it will attract the audience attention (or possibly backfire in such a way that you lose all your subs), make them want to read on, to see what else you have put. almost all audiences like a good sense of humor.

sobasicallyyou don't want a short blog where the most sophisticatedwordis "apple" and is 6 lines long, no paragraphs nothing. try to avoid just rambling on about somethingirrelevant but if it does end up being less than one paragraphthenyou got so-HIPPOPOTAMUS-me spaces to fill buddy. try adding detail like fancy words and when the subject changes just hit that enter button and start a new paragraph. if it's all bunched together it makes it hard to read andgenerallylooks worse. when you find a space to put an improved word, use it. also, punctuation is important, again, it adds a sophisticated touch.
