Hi everyone, I'm Sonny, and after some thinking, I'm here to tell you about an idea that's been in my mind for a while now.

First of all, some background to this topic of mine. What is a skin for you?

For me, the skin is what represents you more and more easily in Minecraft. Usernames may be weird, having numbers and random letters, thus hard to remember. A skin is much more easy to recognize, and can be changed over time following a player's taste. Also, I am a realistic and pragmatic person, and this makes me want to make everything "sensed" while playing. What do I mean:
I'm building a castle on a medieval role play server: I want to use a medieval looking skin. I'm touring Keralis' creative server: I want a modern skin. I'm playing hunger games with friends: I want something that looks like a fighter or soldier or gangster.
My point is: I change skin a lot of times. And always logging in Minecraft.net and restarting Minecraft is bugging at some point, but needed now.

So, why not being able to change skin in-game?

Before you may come up saying "it's too complicated", "it's a waste of programming time", "there are mods", and "you're lazy", let me explain.
I'm not talking about uploading any skin like on Minecraft.net while playing, I bet that would be hard and heavy to code, maybe not possible for how Minecraft works now.

But what if we could upload, for example, 3 different skins on Minecraft.net, and than be able to switch between them in-game?

Things would just work like now, but you have three slots available on Minecraft.net, numbered 1,2, and 3, and when you open the Option menu you see "Skins", than you chose between 1,2, and 3.

Do you remember when Texture Packs could only be changed by logging off servers or exiting a single player world? OptiFine added the possibility to change them while playing, and now that has been added to Vanilla Minecraft.
I have no idea if any mod does what I'm talking about, but something like what I said may be possible, just like what happened with Texture Packs.

Now you may say: "What is the real benefit in this?" and my answer is: enhance everyone's Minecraft experience.

Also, don't get this as a rant towards Minecraft mechanics it's just an idea. I never read anything like this, so please forgive me if this was already suggested in this very manner. Also, the top picture was made by me.
