My idea is adding a religious twist to the game. Having names and stories instantly generated and placed in the world as 1) a base for servers and cities 2) a new immersive experience in the world of minecraft. What have all early civilisations have in common? A god or goddess that they could use as something to believe in. A gods or goddess are a key aspect in most epics and stories of heroes or adventurers. After reading the odyssey the main story was influenced by gods and goddesses, and i have always wanted to experience something as amazing as feeling the love or hate of a 3rd party in a game as immersive as minecraft.
Imagine a fresh new world, walking down the coast to find a statue of a beautiful godess made of blocks. Only to find that the statue give the ability to find twice as much loot in dungeons and etc. OR imagine stepping through a nether portal to find a devil like figure looking you in the face about to take your life, but suddenly he gives you a chance. die and loose all of your loot, OR become his minion and everything you tough catches fire. Then try to imagine exploring a cave to find a shrine to a god of war which blesses you with a sword of greatness which has the greatest power in all of minecraft.
Also the style of each god or godess would be different. The temples generated for a godess of health would be a clean wishing well with an apple tree, and the god of weapon forging would be a lone furnace and anvil on the top of the highest mountain in the area. The temples in the nether would be extremely large with bosses and a shit ton of loot. Wile on the over world the devine temples would be the same way. Large with boses and a lot 'o' loot. coastal temples would be smaller wile temples overlooking a valley would be very powerful and beautiful.
The main focus with this idea is to add incentive to go and explore the land and fine a new god or goddess to either give help of cause an extra challenge. WIth an additional feeling of immersion the game would truley become an extremely fun expierence.
