Advanced Eggs

I am a big fan of using items within minecraft to intuitively deepen the vanilla game rather than using database-driven, esoteric, confusing, and unfair skill systems. However, we are strong proponents of near-vanilla PvP and we do not want to take our customizations too far or create large imbalances in the PvP system.

There has been some support for allowing players to buy further into the economic system and increase their supply of mob eggs to more than one per day. I have been mulling over the best way to go about doing this and I came up with an idea to deepen the entire mob egg system.

As opposed to simply allowing people to get more mob eggs, why not also give them more types of higher cost eggs, with more interesting properties?

These eggs could be considered "Level Two" or "Advanced Eggs" and would be crafted from regular mob eggs in conjunction with some other materials to create very powerful and valuable weapons/tools. - Or you could buy the eggs with emeralds -

Here are some very early conceptual ideas. NOTE that these concepts might be completely different from what they end up being. They are merely conceptual to gauge community sentiment.

-An advanced creeper egg that has a very large explosion-

-An advanced zombie egg that spawns 5-6 zombies when it lands-


-An advanced spider egg that allows you to ride it (up walls if you do it right) or maybe allows you to land in a web wherever you throw it, sort of like spiderman meets an enderpearl-

-An advanced blaze egg that either spawns a lot of fire or a lava block where it lands-

-An advanced skeleton egg that spawns an eruption of arrows where it lands-
