I'm a designer, and I'm an artist.
This means my cupboard and hard drive are full of drawings and the such.
Lets talk about my designing process.
(This was a process for making an MP3 Docking station)
First, I create a 'Task analysis'. This means that I'm analysing the task I've been set, nor I have set myself:
Then I create a moodboard. This would include everything I have found that complies with the task.
Looking at the task analysis and the moodboard, I create a specification, I which I study the different aspects of the design, such as cost, aesthetics, and audience.
This leads me to my research, researching similar products and processes involved in making them:
Primary research is when you have researched the subject, while secondary is when someone else has researched it. I mainly draw my images for secondary research, as it helps me better understand the subject.
Next, I analyse the research:
Now I start on my initial design, including most of the research I've done and using my specification as a guide.
This then leads to the development process:
Lastly, I create a final design, taking the development stage into consideration:
Now I used a 3D software to make a 3D version:
With all this, I can continue to create the actual product!
More will be added later!
Thanks for reading!
