This is My Second PMC Devlog where I showcase my story and progress through out my projects development ,but before we start, make sure you have seen the first Devlog before reading this one and lets set some definitions of this Devlog for you non-nerds🤓 out there:
Raycasting: a Ray that is casted from origin point to selected point in invisible line. you can think of it as a way to shoot a laser gun in a video game for example. when you shoot the laser it makes a straight line that ends at target you shoot at and damages it.
Anyway lets get started
Last time I have managed to recode the amethyst golem and since then I fixed some bugs with model and added some cool features:
Works like a charm!
Now lets get into recoding the Amethyst Wand.
So, for who you havent checked out my projects yet
you might have to check it out :b wink wink
Amethyst wand is a Wand that can be crafted from Amethyst Heart(item dropped by Amethyst Golem) and allow players to spawn harmful crystals underneath mobs in 8 blocks radius; However, It had multiple issues:
1. player cant control mobs that being attacked
2. it's not balanced
So, to fix this issue we have to add some changes.
some changes I decided to add was:
1. amethyst wand now uses raycasting so players can target mob they want to attack
2. to be able to use the wand, player will require amethyst shards to be able to use the wand.
I HAVE THE POWER NOW >:b
btw I added the amethyst shard feature but I was too lazy to record it so.....
