So the other day i was in survival mode, which i hadn't played in ages and had managed to achieve very little, when i decided to build myself a house to keep me safe at night. You know, so i don't run into monsters or whatever :)
Anyway, I spend the day gathering wood, well chopping down any tree i could find. Actually, only birch trees...not sure why...i just think it looks nice compared to some of the other woods. So i chop and chop and chop and soon it starts to get dark. I hurry back to where i have already placed a few blocks and build up the house. But i only have enough to build it 2 blocks high. I put a door on it and use a darker wood for the floor. I gaze outside the door and wait for night to pass again when suddenly...
I die!
That's right...i die!!!
Apparently some zombie had gotten into my house and killed me. And i sat there confused, totally perplexed as to how it could have gotten in there. Then i realised what i had done. I had forgotten to put a roof on my house! Stupid mistake.
When i respawned i immediately hunted down more wood and created a roof. Next time night came around i stood in there, safe in the knowledge that nothing could hit me now. How wrong could i be?
Literally 2 seconds after i had got in the house, complete with roof, i get hit by lightning! Lightning! Lightning inside my house! How ridculous is that? You're meant to be safe in your house and mine had just let me get zapped by lightning. Not impressed.
I respawned again but then i had a thought. Bad luck always comes in three's. That's true right? And was i really gonna carry on playing knowing that the third thing was just around the corner? No i was not. So i saved and quit. Then went back to my creative mode world instead.
Turns out that i am no good at surviving :(
