Part 0.5: The Setting.
Eons ago, the universe of Arius was created as a form of proving grounds for the gods. Even today the conflict between Dae and Kraedin rages forth with the other gods of the pantheon caught in-between. The mortal races of Oranai must now face a threat far greater than ever recorded in their archives. It is now up to the adventurers and soldiers to prove their world is worthy in the eyes of the gods. Only one relic left behind by Narthal can stop the gods in their tracks, the relic in question is the o Blade of Azmodiouso , a blade so powerful it could kill gods like mere mortals before the scythe of death incarnate. However, it was hidden so well, only Narthal knows of ito s location. Too great being the risk that it would fall into the wrong hands and give ultimate power to Xino talan.
The Pantheon:

He is also associated with day and midnight. He is often worshipped by village folk. His large numbers of followers can be primarily distinguished by the rites they perform. There are a large number of depictions of him near bridges. There are many myths involving his epic battles with Dae. He is known to give some help to great mortal warriors.
The three major gods of Arius are constantly at war with another. Kraedin and Dae are like bickering children to Narthal. Constantly at war with each other, Kraedin and Dae often use mortals as pawns in their struggle. Narthal constantly finds himself caught amongst the conflict trying to balance the scales in the favour of mortals whilst fending both Kraedin and Dae away from his sanctuary in the mountains.
The lesser deities:
The lesser gods are also called the Mirror Family. A strange name granted to them by an old philosopher. They got the name because they are the complete equals of each other.Mardona, the goddess of Luck and Chance, the look of an elderly woman with the inside of a young beauty. The mistress of gambling they call her. Some say she offers those that are in need of luck that what they ask for without a price. But she doesno t work like that. Mardona follows those in need of luck around and offers them the chance to redeem themselves with a little push into the right direction. She is Luck. She offers the chance to do so. For that a lot of people are grateful. She has not many followers since she doesno t accept true believers of her cause. She wants people to think of her as a possible being. Maybe she is there and maybe she is not. Is it fate or is it controlled by someone?
Anodram, the god of Misfortune and Force, the look of an strong young man with the inside of a sneaky older person. The master of forced actions and bad luck to gain pleasure for himself. He decides what some will do. Offers them nothing else than his o gloriouso path. He forces people to do things they normally wono t. Turns them into the wrong direction, let them walk into danger and depression. This is what he enjoys most. As a god of Force he also forces people to worship him, giving them no choice to serve any other god. The other gods hate Anodram, despises his ways and scold him for doing so. He makes himself known to those that are in utter bliss. He loves to throw the rich of their high thrones and drag them through the mud just to show his power.
Ihurag, the god of Hope and Fortitude, a man with the looks of a barbarian. A noble lord of the northern halls. A true warrior. His voice is as a hammer from the sky, it shakes the very foundations you stand on. To those in despair he brings hope he gives them the strength to look past misery and take that what they need to get back on there feet. He grants them to fortitude to take the blows of despair. Heo s often renowned as the god of mental war. Who is the strongest and toughest. Who can take the most hits and has the sturdiest mind.
Garuhi, the goddess of Despair and Weakness, the woman that has the looks of a demon. Probably one of the most attractive things youo ll ever see, but as deadly as a serpent. She helps you stand up and face her gives you what you need before claiming her own price. She takes your soul and puts a bounty on it. To be claimed in a week. The week will begin with the wishes you had coming true, as an illusion. When you come closer to the end despair takes you and starts to take over your life. At the end of the week youo ll fall to the ground from weakness. She tends to use that to break your body and spirit and claim the bounty. Offering even a worse fate if you squirm around like a little baby. She offers you a place at her side. She offers death. Those that accept this deal will be eternal servants at her feet. Those that refuse will live with a piece of life taken from you. A life full of despair and illness.
Little did Dae and Kraedin know that they were but mere pawns on the battlefield, Xino talan, last of the mad gods was watching whilst waiting for the blade of Azmodious to be recovered. With its power he could destroy the current pantheon and replace them with his own o godso . If the war between Dae and Kraedin doesno t destroy this world, Xino talan surely will. Xino talan currently builds up his power, summoning the occasional Wraith to help him corrupt and enslave people to find the blade for him.
As the war between Dae and Kraedin progressed more lands were discovered beyond the great sea, the most noticeable of these being Alaban. Alaban was once home to the battle between Narthal and Xino talan, resulting in hidden prisons containing Xino talano s armies and even parts of his alternate pantheon. These include:
Zathreim the faceless, an ancient shade summoned to bend the will of everything alive in Arius. If is released again then the world will surely fall before a tide of darkness.
Galtharax, once an ancient king of great power. He now serves Xino talan as an o ascendedo mortal with the strength of a god. Beware his lies for they can turn the tide of a battle.
Nazak the mad, One of the original members of Xino talano s pantheon, the only surviving member apart from Xino talan himself. His mere presence can break the bonds of time thus enabling him to contact Xino talan and find out what he needs to know about Oranai.
However, these are the only known prominent members of the alternate pantheon. Legend has it that every god, lesser or greater, had a mad counterpart.
Now it is down to the adventurers of this world to prove their might to the gods and stop Xino talan from escaping...
