Art Blogs - The Good

1) Landscape/Backround
Landscape is a big part of art. Its a big part because it shows maybe how the character lives, or how a scene is portrayed. This is why I personally hate flatland. Minecraft is a game that needs landscape. It dictates how you progress, what you do, and your house. Art is like that, too. If your some wealthy looking character and your in a castle, we take you for a king. If your in a street, we take you for on Halloween. Landscape dictates art in a very specific way that nothing else can. Backround is also the same as landscape, but only if there is a focus.

2) Creativity
Art needs to be original, and if its not, it needs to be inspired, or desired. Not copied. Who cares about a few mobs? We want something NEW! Art is like that. It takes up a million ideas, but only requires a pencil and a piece of paper. If they are going to be mobs, make it abstract, leave it open, let your ideas take up more then the already set design. Don't make a normal, average slime. Thats boring. You want SUBSCRIBERS! You want DIAMONDS! Would you subscribe to someone, who has an ordinary drawing of a slime? I know I wouldn't.

3) Concept
Concept is almost the same as creativity, but is the ideas, not the actual thing. The concept must be something different. Something it takes you hours to get a inch out of. Yet, we have a constant amount of the same thing. Why must art be like this? Take any artist from any time period, but it cannot be within 50 years of our own. Are any of their paintings, or drawings, or anything the same? Its not. Sure the Mona Lisa has a mock where it has a mustache, sure there are things that share a SIMILAR concept, but nothing is the same. Now we have a constant supply of art. And its mostly boring.

4) Quality
If your a good artist, then good. If your not, practice. The quality of the art is equally important. Don't throw something together in a matter of hours. Take time, have fun, experiment! I have a friend, who is mainly focused around wood and stone building in Terraria. He tried one thing with Mushrooms, and now he has a whole world he loved it so much. But still, his favorite is wood and stone. Have fun with your art, don't let people hold your back. But also try to improve the quality.

5) Inspiration
A lot of art is inspired, but inspired doesn't mean copied. There are millions of individual pictures of Enderman, but none are exactly the same. One probably saw another, sand said "Hey, I like this. I wanna try this." And so it went on. Inspiration isn't copying, its more like borrowing.

Art Blogs - The Bad

1) Copying
Everyone likes original art. Don't copy. Its boring, and its not half as much full of flavor. Be inspired. Not stuck on the same desing, over and over. Thats boring. Doesn't mean its bad.

2) Quality
We don't want to see your art if it sucks! Sure, you have the right to post it, but it won't get you anywhere. Put your talents elsewhere, art just isn't your thing.

3) Design
We want new designs, a block skeleton, a block slime, its boring. Try something new. I love Minecraft art when its taken in a new perspective, maybe like more organic shapes, not squares.

4) False Hope
Don't brag about your art. It takes out all the beauty, and makes it false. Say "I'm okay in art" not "I SO GOOD AT ART" let your viewers and subscribers decide. Its not your choice if its your art.

5) Selfies
I could care so much less of one more "Me in MC" kind of art. Its boring. Take requests. Be open with people. Or do very generic things like the Nether, or biomes. People don't want to see YOU in MC. They want to see THEMSELVES.
