Fish walked into the deep, ocherous forest. The greyish, azure sky beamed as the sun expressed its warming, evening rays. He smiled as he watched the russet leaves fall after the trees absorbed all the nutrients they needed from them for the winter. It was bright and slightly humid, like a giant cloud of moisture floated through his ivory scales. Fish enjoys the birds singing their beautiful songs, like an orchestra full of chimes and bells. Fish listened to the yawning of wind, like someone thirty-six feet tall was blowing through a flute above, making all the leaves shimmer slightly.

He ran forward, propelling himself against the wind. The wind brushed past his ears, sizzling its own melody. The air smelled musky and sweet from the decaying leaves. His feet pounded onto the ground with a loud thump as he ran, kicking up dirt with every step. He stiffened up, ready to jump. He then launched himself into the air and plummeted into a pile of charred umber leaves.


Fish laughed as ember-red leaves soared into the air around him, leaving a gentle draft that skimmed his scales. He climbed away from the ragged leaves, shaking off the bit of dampness they left behind. He took a step forward, his foot landing on a twig. The twig snapped loudly as the sound of flapping wings echoed throughout the air when birds took off from their branches.


Brown squirrels scrambled up the towering trees. While others scurried along the coarse ground to find acorns to feast on during the winter. Fish kept pedaling through the forest, almost like the path was never going to end. The forest's canopy acted like a curtain, blocking out some of the sun's bright rays. The dinosaur-sized trees cast dark, soulless shadows onto the ground around him.


A bronze barn owl let out a blaring coo that rang through the forest as he saw the trees start to come to an end. Fish thought back to his walk, remembering how he loves the warm colors of the leaves in fall. He loved the frigid breeze breathing onto him, cooling his warm body. He loved the birds, all the different kinds singing their musicals. The squirrels looking for their acorns intrigued his curiosity about where they hid them. As he made it out of the forest he looked back into the city of colossal trees.
"Fall is in the air!" Fish exalted, wishing autumn never had to end.
