Hey fellow Planet Minecraft-ers!

Recently (Like an hour ago :P), I logged onto a old Minecraft server I used to play on- Quick Backstory: I first joined the server during my Freshman year in highschool, nearly three years ago! ( Cant believe I'm a Senior!) The transition from 8th grade to my Freshman year in highschool was a stressful one for me, many of my friends ended up going to a different highschool and the more challenging course work stressed me out a little, this Minecraft server kind of became an escape for me, a place where I could momentarily relax and build some crazy creations. - Anyways, I just logged on to find an empty server. Although it never was a big server it did have quite a few amount of people playing daily during its prime. Over the years I began to slowly (and unconciosuly) cut back on my playing time as I grew older and more active until I eventually quit playing completely around August/September of last year. Now looking back, I miss the old times I had on Minecraft. Although I never met anyone I played on the server with I felt like we were good friends. Now, the emptiness of the server is a little sad for me to see. I've spent the past hour listening to C418- Mutation, pondering, trying to figure out why I missed the server so much and finally it hit me. I realized I missed the friendliness of the members on the server. It was a family-friendly server, which meant no swearing, no insulting, no griefing, just pure, friendly fun. What I'm trying to get at by writing this article is that what made that server so awesome was the friendliness of the people playying. Therefore I come to you with this plea: please, just be nice. Maybe when you see someone's unprotected chest full of their treasured items you move along, hiding it with some dirt blocks for them rather than greifing it. Maybe when a new player joins the server you take the time to say "Welcome to the server! I'll be glad to assist you if you need any help!" or something along those lines. Maybe take the time to complement someone on their creations. Simply put, be nice to others. Often a simple "Hello, how are you doing?" can brighten someones day. Even if it takes a second just please try and brighten someones day, the happiness you feel from helping others will be more than enough of an award. Also, challenge you're friends to be nice as well! Let's start a trend people, just once a day do one nice thing for someone that they can not do for themselves! (Yes I may have stolen that idea from the movie Pay It Forward :P) Anyways, if you remember anything from this long article let it be this: Be nice and challange others to do so as well, not only in Minecraft but in real life as well! It will not only benefit the reciever but also the giver, and remember, there are plenty of good, nice, caring people in this world. Hey! I can think of one right now! You! Yes you! Let's all be nice to each other and watch how much of a positive influence we can create!

Cheers friends,

Supercrossed

Cool I'm a Senior too. I'm generally a nice guy, but an unguarded chest is tempting. How can anyone resist not take any diamonds from an open chest? I think its time for you to join a new server if its empty. Btw. I'm only here because you diamonded my Soren Military Base when it first began.
