Bukkit servers. We've all been on one (hopefully) and have all set one up and either failed or succeeded. Well what if I told you I tried and failed at setting up 2 other bukkit servers and failed and am currently working on another one atm which is actually going pretty well for me? You'd say I was crazy right? Well under normal conditions Io d agree with you, but Io m not your average Minecrafter, I have lots of determination when it comes to things, especially Minecraft. The thing is though, I was crazy for trying to setup 2 other servers, both of which I dropped for numerous untold reasons. But this isn't about me, it's about you, and me telling you what to watch out for so you avoid making the mistakes I made, because I, unlike few other people want to actually help you out with whatever idea it is that you want to bring to an amazing game like this one.

The thing is, with bukkit servers, there are do's and dono ts for what u should do and shouldn't do, especially if you're going public with it. If you're just doing it for you and a select group of friends, enjoy, but if decide to go public, and then keep reading. I was inspired one day, when a friend of mine decided she wanted to start a small private server and then expand it to a large public one, and asked for my help, so I then decided to help her create and organize an extremely well put private server (no you can't have the ip :P) I wanted to help her, so she wouldn't make the mistakes I made and experience what I went through. Trust me, it helps a lot, learning from the mistakes of other's which is why Io m creating a series of blogs that instruct you the reader of the do's and don'ts of what to do when it comes to creating, set-up, and managing of a bukkit server. No this is not a tech guide where you can post technical questions regarding your java errors, coding mishaps, or modding problems. Think of this as more of a consultancy guide for you to learn the ways of setting up your server.

What I'll do is each week; Io ll post a blog about a specific topic of the ways of setting up a successful bukkit server and getting it running. This way, it allows for you to have a more in depth knowledge of each do and dono ts of server running managing and hosting. Trust me, every bit of help you can get saves you time wasted on errors and mishaps. I want to see you succeed when you decide to go public with your awesome Minecraft server idea. Let me tell you, every time I log onto a new server, ito s like a new world has opened up to me. I want to see more successful servers pop up because they decided to take the time and get the in-depth firsthand accounts of what I now like to call o Bukkitingo . Servers are fun to play on, and I like hopping from server to server to server, so leto s see if I can help you become a successful o Bukkitero . This was just an introduction, so next week, will be the first lesson in Bukkit servers. Please feel free to comment, subscribe, and/or diamond, ito s much appreciated. Thanks and Enjoy :)
