Being Original is often very hard to do, people have good idea's and people want to take part/join in/make better (or in some cases not).

To be original means:

• Belonging to the origin or the beginning of something.
  
• New; fresh; Inventive; A original way of advertising.
  
• Created, undertaken or presented for the first time.
  

The second line (in bold) is the one I want to concentrate on today;

I understand people need to be inspired, Leonardo Da Vinci was inspired by plants, Albert Einstein was taken into science by his desire to learn, he was inspired by other scientists.

Inspiration means you are inspired by something then you move on to make it your own/better. This is something we seem to be missing. Now every few blogs are:

"Anyone want to make a yogscast series?"

And I think to myself where is the original element to this idea?

I think the Yogscast are funny and original and this is what makes them so great, so don't think I am hating on people who make series. BUT each time I see something that lacks a original idea behind it, I plant my head on my desk and slam it really hard. So many people are lacking the idea of originality its astounding. Why will people want to watch your series or join your server unless there is a original element to it?

So many of us love the idea of Xephos and Honeydew running around saving Minecraftia and to be honest I don't blame you. They have defined the Original with their own series.

So please don't make a new series called "[insert name]cast" be original and this is how you will be successful not by copying someones idea with no aspirations to make it better.
