BENT Interview with Rob333

Hey, guys, today, we're doing an interview with Rob333, an incredible member of the Battle for the Enchanted Netherite Trophy (BENT, henseforth) community . I seem to have missed the 2-year anniversary this year, but let's see what BENT'S favorite socialist has to say!

Q: What got you I to bent?
A: Well... I found you via the Forum Threads and then I found BENT and it got my interest and I asked to join and you told me how to do it so I did it.

Q: who is your favorite character and why?
A: Allay, she's so relatable, when you know her personality and backstory, you can connect so well with her

Q; Which one do you relate to the most?
A; My own character lol, but apart of that, Allay, Copper Golem and Evoker.
R: I'm in the same place as you are. Apart from Marianne, who is definitively my self insert, I sort of projected myself onto Evelyn. She's bright and quirky, wanting to put her race's stereotypes in the past and prove to the world that stereotypes don't define an individual. That might be what drew Marianne towards her so much. For the other two, Aliea and Christopher, something gave me a feeling that the mobs would have personalities like the ones shown in BENT. The copper Golem just gives off ADHD child vibes. Trust me, I've been there.

Q: you've used some of the characters from bent in your own work with sotm. What were your inspirations to write that?
A: Oh well, BENT was one of the greatest written works in PMC in the year I joined the site, and it was an inspiration to write, so I decided to give tribute to you and your work by using some of the same characters, and my idea was to write SotM as canon as possible, like if you were writting it.
R: Aw, thanks! I'm glad to hear that my work has had such an impact.

Q: BENT has a lot of deeper lore, such as the Hollows (which don't go that deep in the chapters themselves,) and things like integrating real-life drama into the lore. What are your thought on that?
A: I love that, I personally think that one of the best things a writter can do is to insert in a poetical way the story of their own life, and change some stuff to create the most fascinating fictional world! I also do that myself, the Shadow People and the Shadow Civilization from SotM are based on Shadow People, a supernatural entity that is evil and as powerful as demons, those used to haunt me when I was a little child, but I got to defeat them, so I used that to create the Shadow Civilization as villains for my saga, and DarkRob, just like the Hollows, is my dark-evil counterpart that got created using me as base but the difference is that he is result of Shadow Corruption and not Sculk...
R: That's a nice way to use personal struggles as inspiration for creative works!

Q: do u have a favorite contest?
A: No, but I personally like WORLD SUPREMACY!!! /j

Q: do you have any opinions on character ships in BENT?
A: Well, I find it very nice and interesting Allay x Evoker, and there are others that are just wtf!? Those that I find weird are the ones forbidden in the Wiki, like the ones shipping a trio at once, the ones shipping Golden, and the ones including sus people that caused drama irl.
R: :3. I'm glad that the community was somewhat small. I'd hate to have seen people shipping weird ships. Luckily, there's no sweet home Alabama stuff going on in the fandom.

Q: Which character dynamics did you like? Like the character arcs?
A: Allay's backstory, and also that dynamic about hating on mob vote because those are very dumb-made and Mojang is stupid enough to not care about them nor about the community and take us as morons who cry for everything, the critics on how the mob votes work were one of the best thing ever.
R: 100% agree with you on that. I go deeper into that in the mini story where all the mob vote characters dread the upcoming vote. In universe, it's the tradition that everyone follows, but nobody likes it nor knows why its still done.

Q: What is your favorite thing about BENT? What would you change?
A: The fact they are in a kind of competition or show where the winner gets the ENT. Idk what I would change.
